In de Noordzee is een wrak dat in de jaren 80 werd ontdekt geïdentificeerd als een Duitse duikboot, de UB-32. Dat is een duikboot van het 'modernere' UB-II type, die vanaf februari 1917 in de Noordzee werd ingezet, heel wat schepen kelderde, en in september 1917 zelf tot zinken werd gebracht door een Engels vliegtuig. Het wrak vertoont duidelijke sporen van een zware impact en is geïdentificeerd dankzij een inscriptie in een van de schroeven.
