Mars
Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun in the Solar System, often called the "Red Planet" due to its reddish appearance from iron oxide on its surface. With a thin atmosphere primarily of carbon dioxide, Mars has polar ice caps, the largest volcano (Olympus Mons), and the deepest canyon (Valles Marineris) in the Solar System. Mars has two small moons, Phobos and Deimos. It is a primary target for exploration due to past evidence of water and the possibility of ancient microbial life.
