Brain
The brain is a complex organ that serves as the central control center of the nervous system in humans and most animals. It processes sensory information, regulates bodily functions, and enables cognition, emotions, memory, and behavior. Composed of billions of neurons and glial cells, the brain communicates through electrical and chemical signals. In vertebrates, it is protected by the skull and connected to the spinal cord. The human brain is especially advanced, supporting language, reasoning, and consciousness. Brain research spans neuroscience, psychology, and medicine.
